Roanoke Senior Lunch
Wednesday, June 12, noon lunch
The second Wednesday of each month the church provides and serves food for over 100 seniors at the Roanoke Senior Center. Volunteers can sign up to bring food- a vegetable, salad, fruit, or desert- and drop it off at the Roanoke Senior Center any time after 9:00 am. Or you can volunteer to help serve at noon. Mission Arlington
Thursday, June 13, 9:00 am- 2:00 pm
All ages can volunteer at Mission Arlington where we might be asked to do a variety of tasks, including stocking the food pantry, working in the clothing room, sorting donations, working around the office, passing out Bible study fliers, or picking up donations in the neighborhood. We do whatever is needed that day! We’ll use the church van for transportation, leaving around 9:00 and arriving back at the church than 2:00 pm. Children welcome but must be supervised by an adult. McFadden Ranch Softball/Cookout Day
Sunday, June 23, 3:00- 5:00 pm
McFadden Ranch is a juvenile detention facility for male youth that is located 10 minutes from the church in Roanoke. Sign up to come out and spread the love of Christ to young men in need as we offer a cook out/snow cones and play softball. No special skills required other than a warm heart. Background check form must be turned in ahead of time. Must be 18. Contact person: Celine Mitchell at celinemitchell@charter.net.
Saturday, June 29, 6:00 pm- 9:00 pm
Assist in donating ice cream supplies (ice cream and toppings) and signing up to serve the refreshments for the Roanoke Senior Center dance. The Roanoke Senior Center is instrumental in providing a venue to meet the needs of the seniors from Roanoke, Trophy Club, Keller, Southlake, and surrounding areas. UMCOR Health Kits
Collection during the month of June
The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) sends these donated health kits to disaster areas around the world. Individuals and families can donate completed health kits to the donation box in the church foyer during the month of June. Our junior high students will deliver the kits to the supply depot in Louisiana in August when they travel there on their mission trip. Austin Street Shelter
Saturday and Sunday, July 6-7
Fellowship UMC is scheduled once a quarter to provide a Sunday morning meal to the homeless at the shelter. People can sign up to (1) on Saturday, donate eggs, bananas, and a couple of dollars to help provide breakfast food, (2) come up to the church on Saturday night (time TBA) to cook and assemble the breakfast, and (3) deliver and serve the breakfast on Sunday morning. The delivery crew leaves the church around 4:00 am and is done by 6:30 am. Contact person: Ken Kolsti at kkolsti@att.net.

Project Transformation
Monday and Tuesday, July 29-30, 8:30 am- 12:30 pm
Sign up to read to (and with) elementary-aged children to help retain their reading skills over the summer at the Project Transformation site at Chapel Hill UMC in Farmers Branch. Ages 13 and up are welcome. Adults 18 and over must complete a background check and go through MinistrySafe training beforehand. Sign up for one or both days. First Street Missions
Saturday, August 10, 9:00 am- noon
Sort clothes in the clothing donation room to get them ready for distribution to those in need at the First Street Missions in Ft. Worth. We’ll carpool from the church. Contact person: Lisa McCrief at lmmcrief@att.net.

N.I.S.D. Prayer Walk

We’re covering our school children and adults with prayer at the beginning of the school year. Sign up as an individual or family to walk and pray for a specific campus in the Northwest ISD when it is convenient for you (takes approx. 15-20 min) on the afternoon on Sunday, August 18.
